Using Simpro, Tradify or AroFlo? Here's how robot® Plan fits in
22 July 2026 · 4 min read · robot® Plan
The first question every established sparkie asks us: "I already run Simpro / Tradify / AroFlo — am I supposed to replace it?"
No. Keep it. Those tools are excellent at what happens after a job is won: scheduling, timesheets, purchase orders, invoicing runs. What they're not built for is the moment before — when a customer is deciding whether to say yes, and what to say yes to.
The clean division of labour
robot® Plan owns the winning: an interactive floor plan of the customer's house, a visual quote at your prices with your part numbers, an accept button. Your job system owns the delivering. The hand-off between them is automatic:
- Your prices come in — export your catalogue from Simpro (or anywhere) as a CSV and import it, part numbers intact. You quote at the rates you buy at.
- Accepted quotes go out — the moment your customer accepts, the job appears in your system with the customer, site, total and a link to the itemised quote. Usually within five minutes, even if you're asleep.
The bridge is a one-off ten-minute setup through a free Zapier account, and the app walks you through every step. Xero and ServiceM8 are built-in — no Zapier needed there at all.
Why not just quote in the job system?
You can — everyone has. The result is the quote your customer got last time: a list of codes and prices. It does nothing to sell the job, and nothing to grow it. The visual plan is the difference between quoting what was asked for and showing what's possible, and it's why the average accepted job grows when the quote is a picture of their own house.
