How to turn a plan into a quote
One tap turns everything on your plan into a sectioned, priced quote — and keeps the quote in step when the plan changes.
You’ve already counted every light and powerpoint by marking up the plan. Auto-Quote turns that count into a quote at your prices, so you’re not doing the job twice.
How it fits together

The plan is the count. Your rates are the prices. Auto-Quote puts them together into a normal quote you can edit, send and get accepted. When the customer accepts, the lines carry through to the job.
Set your rates first
- 1Open Quotes, tap ⋯ → Auto-quote rates. (It’s also on your profile settings.)
- 2Under How do you price installation?, choose Per point or By the hour.
- 3If you price by the hour, set Your hourly labour rate.
- 4Go through each section and set your prices. Anything you leave shows Supply estimate — robot’s starting guide, not your price.
- 5Tap Edit quote text on a section to change its heading and the wording under it. Use robot’s text puts the original back.
- 6Tap Save my rates.
Products in your Pricing Library win over everything else, so if you’ve priced a product there, that’s the price the quote uses.
Create the quote
- 1Make sure the plan has a customer. Tap the customer chip in the top bar if it doesn’t.
- 2Tap Next steps.
- 3Tap Create quote (Priced at your rates, in seconds).
- 4Check the summary and tap Build my quote →.
- 5robot saves the plan, builds the quote and opens it in your quote builder.
What you get
- A section per category — powerpoints, switches, downlights and so on — with your scope-of-works wording.
- Every product as its own line, with quantities counted straight off every floor.
- A labour line per section, e.g. Downlights (Wiring, Cut-out & Fit-off), worked out from your per-point prices or your hourly rate. The switchboard gets a set price.
- Extra sections when the plan needs them: Dedicated circuits, Data rack build and Networking.
- An intro that sums up each section, and the plan itself shown inside the customer’s quote under your logo.

When the plan changes
robot remembers which version of the plan each quote was built from. Change the plan afterwards and the quote shows a banner saying the plan has changed.
- Quote not sent yet — tap View plan to check, or Update quote from plan to re-price it from the plan as it is now.
- Quote already sent or accepted — tap Create revised quote from plan. robot makes a new revision and leaves the original untouched.
Update quote from plan replaces every line — including lines you edited or added by hand — at your current rates. Check before you confirm.
Show a plan on any quote
In the quote builder, open Interactive plan, pick one of your plans and turn on Display the plan to the customer. Leave it off to attach the plan without showing it yet.
Extra work later: variation quotes from notes
- 1Tap Next steps → Download → Additional job items.
- 2Tick the notes you want to quote.
- 3Tap Create variation quote. robot starts a variation quote — you set the prices.
