How to start your free trial
Sign up, verify your email and set up robot Plan in about two minutes.
robot Plan is free for 30 days — nothing is charged today. The set-up screens ask for the handful of things that go on every quote and invoice, so you’re ready to work the moment you finish.
Create your account
Tap the start-free button on the robot website and enter your business email. robot creates your account and opens the set-up screens straight away.
- 1Type Your name and Choose a password (at least 8 characters), then tap Continue.
- 2Check your inbox for a 6-digit code. Type it in and tap Verify. No email? Wait for the timer, then tap Resend code.
- 3Add your mobile and your business address, then tap Continue. Your mobile is used for job alerts and support; the address goes on your quotes and invoices.
You can go back a step at any time with the back arrow at the top of the screen.
Tell robot about your business
- 1Pick your trade — Electrician, Plumber, Carpenter, Builder, HVAC / Aircon, Painter, Tiler or Other trade. If you came from a trade-specific page, robot already knows and skips this screen.
- 2Enter your business name. It appears on every quote, invoice and text your customers get.
- 3Electricians only: slide to set your hourly rate (between $60 and $600 an hour). Auto-quotes price themselves from this rate, and you can change it any time.
- 4Upload your logo and tap Save logo & continue — or tap Skip — add it later.
Everything on these screens can be changed later in Settings. See Set up your business profile.
Start your 30 days
The card screen shows exactly what you’ll pay: $0 today, $39 for your first month, then $89/month after that — with your whole crew included.
If your phone supports Apple Pay or Google Pay, you’ll see that button first. Prefer a card? Tap Pay with card instead, enter your details and tap Start my 30 days free. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.
- Nothing is charged until your 30 days end.
- Cancel any time before then and you won’t pay a cent.
- Not ready to add a card? Tap Skip for now — add card later. Your 30-day trial still starts, and you can add a card later from Subscription & billing.
Skipped the card? See Manage your subscription to add it before your trial ends so nothing stops working.
Invite your crew (optional)
Next, robot asks who’s on the tools with you. Add each person’s name and email and choose what they do: On the tools, Runs jobs or Office / admin. Tap + Add someone else for more people, then Send invites.
Each person gets an email with a login. Working on your own? Tap Just me for now — add them later.
On the tools = Employee, Runs jobs = Project Manager, Office / admin = Admin. See Roles and permissions.
You’re in
Tap Take me to my day to land on your Home screen. From there you can build your price book, send your first quote and put jobs on the calendar.
