How to use Filter and the legend
Focus the plan on one trade, highlight a category, switch cable runs on and off, and show a symbol legend.
A busy plan is hard to read. Filter lets you — and your customer — look at just the lighting, just the power, or just one product.
Open Filter
Tap Filter in the tools row. The panel is called Focus the plan. When something is highlighted, the button reads Highlighting and shows a count.
Quick presets
- Show all
- Lighting only
- Power & data
- Air movement
- AV
Plan style
Turn each of these On or Off:
- Simple symbols — swap the product pictures for clean electrical symbols, with a legend.
- Switch links — the lines from switches to their lights.
- Heated floor map — the shaded heated areas.
- Power circuits — circuits from the switchboard.
- Alarm runs — alarm cabling.
- Data / Cat6 runs — data cabling.
Hide or highlight a category
- 1Each category row shows how many are on the plan.
- 2Use its switch to hide or show that category.
- 3Tap ◎ Highlight to fade everything else. Tap Stop to go back.
Need to hide a single product rather than a whole category? Use Filter products at the bottom of the panel. Show all resets it.
The legend
Turn on Simple symbols and a legend of every symbol on the plan appears in the corner. Tap LEGEND to open or close it.
The plan PDF can print the legend beside each floor — tick Legend (beside each floor) when you download it.
Your customer can filter too
The customer’s live plan has its own Filter with the same quick filters and plan styles, so they can check just the lights in the kitchen.
