How to reprice your cable when copper moves
See how far copper has moved and lift every cable price in your Products in one go.
Cable prices follow copper. When copper jumps and your prices don’t, your margin quietly disappears. The Copper card in Products shows the movement and lets you reprice all your cable at once.
Tag your cable
robot only reprices items tagged as cable, so do this once for each cable product.
- 1Go to Work → Products and open a cable item.
- 2Under Tags, tap Cable so it turns orange.
- 3Save the item. It now shows a Cable badge in your list.
Check the copper price
The Copper card near the top of Products shows how much copper has moved over the last 30 days, with a small 6-month graph. Tap it to open Copper & cable.
The popup shows how many cable products you have, your last change, and how far copper has moved since then.
The copper figure is COMEX copper futures — a guide only. Your supplier’s prices are what count, so the % is your call.
Reprice all your cable
robot rewrites the cost and price on every cable product by that %. New quotes and jobs use the new prices.
- 1In Copper & cable, type the % you want to adjust by (for example 4.2, or -3 if copper has dropped).
- 2Tap Apply to all cable.
Got it wrong? Open Copper & cable again and tap Undo to put every cable price back to what it was before the last change.
