Customers and properties

Keep every customer in one list, and give the homes you keep going back to a permanent file with notes, locked sections and every job done there.

A customer is who you work for. A property is the house itself — the switchboard location, the gate code, and every job and project you’ve done there.

Your customer list

Open Customers from the Work menu. Search by name, email, phone or address, and sort by A–Z, Recent or Business.

  1. 1
Tap + (Add customer) to add someone new. Customers you add from a new quote or job land here too.
  2. 2
Tap a customer to open their details: name, mobile, email, company, ABN and addresses.
  3. 3
Turn on SMS updates to send them automatic booking and reminder texts.
  4. 4
    Tap Save customer.
Tip

Use Xero? Tap Xero at the top of the Customers page to import your contacts.

What a property is for

Properties are finished homes your team goes back to. Open one on site and everything is there: the customer, your team’s notes, every project and job at the address, and the photos from all of them.

Open Properties from the Work menu to see them all.

Make a property

  • From a finished project — open the project, tap ✓ Mark project completed, then 🏡 Turn into property. The property takes the project’s name, address and customer, and its jobs come across. See How to run a build as a project.
  • From scratch — on the Properties page tap + New property, type a name (e.g. 12 Frank Street) and the address, and tap Create property.
Tip

Tap the icon at the top of a property to pick a different one — handy for telling houses apart at a glance.

Notes for the team (sections)

  1. 1
On the property, tap + Add section.
  2. 2
Call it whatever helps on site — Switchboard, Rack location, Parking, Gate code.
  3. 3
Type what the team should know.
Good to know

Private details? Set your team’s property PIN (4–8 digits) and lock the section. Locked sections stay hidden until someone taps 🔒 Enter PIN and types it. One PIN covers all your properties.

New work at a property

  • + New job — makes a job already filled in with the property’s customer and address, and linked to the property.
  • + New QuoteQuick — starts a quote for the same customer and address. The property needs a linked customer first (+ Link a customer).
Good to know

Quotes aren’t stored on a property. The job you make from the accepted quote is what shows under the property — link it with + Link a job if it wasn’t made from the property.

History at the address

Projects at this property and Jobs at this property list everything done there. Use + Link a project or + Link a job to add older work. Photos collects every photo from those jobs, with search by date, job or caption.

Tip

Deleting a property removes its sections and notes for good. The jobs are kept.
