Powerpoints, appliance circuits and the switchboard schedule

Pick the right powerpoint, put appliances on dedicated circuits, fill out the switchboard and download a schedule you can edit on site.

Plan the circuits while you’re marking up, and the switchboard schedule is done before you’ve bent a single conduit.

Powerpoints

    Place a Powerpoint from Powerpoints & switches.
  2. 2
    Open its details (i) and pick the Powerpoint type: Double Powerpoint, Double Powerpoint + USB-A, Double Powerpoint + USB-A+C or Weatherproof Double Powerpoint.

    Set the height — 200, 300 or 1100 — or type your own.
  4. 4
    Add a Note (optional) for anything the sparky should know.
Tip

Tap a powerpoint and use the chain button (Chain to other powerpoints) to link it to the powerpoints around it.

Appliances and dedicated circuits

The Appliances category has a Dedicated circuit, cooktop, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, electric fireplace, fridge, wine fridge and bar fridge.

    Place the appliance and open its details.

    Under Dedicated circuit — phase, choose Single phase or 3 phase.
  3. 3
    Pick the Cable size and type the Estimated cable length (m).
  4. 4
    Under Add to switchboard, pick the board it runs from. robot adds it to that board’s schedule for you.

Fill out the switchboard

    From Switchboard, place a Meter panel (main board) or a Sub-board.
  2. 2
    Open its details and set the Board size, Supply and Size of mains (e.g. 16mm² consumer mains).
  3. 3
    Under Switchboard schedule, tap + Add breaker or + Contactor for each circuit — CB 1, CB 2 and so on — with what each one feeds.

    Tap a circuit’s chain button to link it to the points it feeds on the plan.
  5. 5
    Select the board and tap Show circuits to see it all drawn on the plan.

Download the switchboard schedule

Tap Next steps → Download → Switchboard schedule. It’s an editable PDF, so you can retype circuits on site.

Good to know

If it says Fill out the switchboard first, place a board and list at least one circuit.

Heated floors

    Measure one wall first (Tools → Measure) so robot knows the scale.
  2. 2
    From Heated floors, place a Floor heating thermostat.
  3. 3
    Tap the thermostat and choose Shade the area this thermostat controls.
  4. 4
    Tap the corners of the heated area, then finish the area. robot works out the square metres.
Tip

Turn the shading on or off with Filter → Heated floor map.
